Yes. The Friends of Milledgeville PD Law Enforcement Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization, and contributions are generally tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for your specific situation.
How do I make a donation?
You can give online through our Donate page or mail a check payable to the Foundation. If you are using the LESS Crime Act program, be sure to follow the state’s pre-approval process before sending your contribution.
Can businesses participate, or is this only for individuals?
Both individuals and corporate entities can participate. Many local businesses support officer wellness and community programs through contributions or sponsorships.
What kinds of programs are funded through donations?
Contributions support initiatives such as advanced officer training, wellness resources, technology and equipment upgrades, and community outreach programs that strengthen trust and transparency.
Can I set up recurring donations?
Yes. Recurring monthly or quarterly gifts can be arranged through our online donation platform or by contacting us directly to set up a schedule that works best for you.
How are funds overseen?
All funds are managed by the Foundation’s board of directors. Regular reports ensure transparency and accountability in how contributions are allocated.
